LEARN What Small Business Can Do For You!
What is the IA-SBA?
The Information Assurance Small Business Association (IA-SBA) is a non-profit
organization established in 2007 to advocate the value of small business in the
Information Assurance (IA) marketplace of Government, industry, academia and
large business prime contractors. Conversely, the IA-SBA provides a centralized
conduit for the marketplace to express their IA requirements to the collective
small business community of IA providers, and to gain better knowledge of small
business capabilities. The IA-SBA also serves an educational function by
fostering the ethical exchange of information and exploring IA issues relevant
to its members and critical communities such as military, defense, intelligence,
and homeland security.
What is IA-SBA's Value?
The IA-SBA provides the following benefits for its members and the communities
served by the IA-SBA:
- Establishes an efficient/centralized majority voice representing the small
business community (SBC) of IA providers
- Creates a bi-directional communications bridge between the SBC and IA
communities served by the SBC, to include periodic and convenient senior
leadership sessions, as well as timely and focused technical exchange and
demonstration sessions
- Offers a mechanism to unite small businesses with IA experience to focus on
major issues within critical communities such as military and defense,
intelligence, and homeland security
- Paves an industry pathway for attracting and mentoring small businesses with
technologies, capabilities or processes of value to various IA communities
- Aggregates and publishes SBC IA capabilities for the benefit of large businesses
and IA customer organizations
- Promotes socializing and networking within the SBC, and between the SBC and its
large business partners and IA customer organizations
- Establishes an orchestrated, small business-oriented, industrial partner
dedicated to the success of IA missions throughout our Government and country
