Chesapeake Stem Academy - Thank You Letter
Thanks to all the members and guests who helped to make this years golf tournament such a success. I believe a good time was had by all who participated. The profits realized from this years event allowed us to make two donations to further the education goals of our young adults. Through your efforts, we were able to make a $5,000 donation to the Chesapeake STEM Academy and a $2,500 donation to the Maryland College Investment Plan Account for the benefit of Lisa Thompsons childrens education. Lisa was an active IA-SBA board member and a strong advocate for education.
We are truly grateful for your support and look forward to next years tournament!
Mary Stassie
IA-SBA, President
Lisa Thompson, VP of the IA-SBA, died of a sudden unexpected illness on December 17, 2010 at the age of 47.
While Lisa's life was short, it was productive and purposeful, and she leaves behind many family members, friends, and business colleagues. Lisa was most recently employed by Engineering Solutions, Inc. as the Director, Information Assurance and Enterprise programs and served as a member of the IASBA Board of Directors for two years. Lisa was responsible for coordinating many of the valuable lunchtime sessions we shared at Timbuktu. Those who worked with Lisa were touched by her trademark radiant smile and warmth.

IA-SBA Launches Its 2009 Membership Drive
The IA-SBA is reaching out to its members to renew their IA-SBA membership status for 2009, as well as to new members interested in joining the IA-SBA. This year, the IA-SBA has added a "Members Login" capability to the IA-SBA site. Each member that newly enrolls, or renews their membership with the IA-SBA will be asked to register their organization's information in the IA-SBA database. Upon completion of this registration activity, your organization will be provided with account information to the "Members Login" area where you can 1) ensure your organization's information is kept up to date, and 2) view information on other IA-SBA member organizations.
